# `flights.hold_expired` — Hold expired

**HTTP status:** 409  
**Retryable:** no — change the request or the flow first

## When it happens

The seats were released because the booking was not issued before `deadlines.holdExpiresAt`. The booking is now `cancelled`.

## What to do

Search and hold again, then issue before the hold expires.
