Editorial Policy and the QuickOTA Editorial Team
Short answer: Our guides, glossary and country pages are written by the QuickOTA Editorial Team at InnoFirm Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We write for travel agencies. Every product claim is checked against the QuickOTA platform. Every rule, licence or market fact is checked against an official or named source. Each page shows the date it was last updated.
Who we are
The QuickOTA Editorial Team writes the guides on quickota.com for travel agency owners, managers and staff. QuickOTA is a B2B travel platform developed by InnoFirm Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our team works on the platform agencies use to search, hold and ticket flights, so we write about the work we see every day: fares, fare rules, ticketing, wallets, changes and refunds.
We publish under one team name rather than individual bylines. The team is responsible for every page as a whole.
What we write about
We cover the practical side of running a travel agency:
- Selling flights: booking, holds, ticketing, fare rules, changes and refunds.
- Starting and growing an agency: licences, first customers, what to sell first.
- Pricing: costs, service fees, markup and margin.
- Technology: B2B portals, white-label websites and booking APIs.
- Markets: country pages and the events and trade fairs agencies attend.
How we research
We start from the questions agencies ask us and the questions they search for. For each page we use:
- The QuickOTA platform itself for anything about our product. We describe features with the labels you see in the panel.
- Official sources for regulation: government ministries, tourism departments and licensing bodies. We link to them on the page.
- Trade bodies and organisers for associations, trade fairs and events.
- Named, reputable publications for news, such as changes to licence fees, and we link to them.
We do not use statistics we cannot trace to a source. We do not invent customers, quotes, reviews or case studies.
How we check every page
Before a page is published, each factual claim is listed and matched to its source:
- Product claims must match what the QuickOTA platform does today. Services that are not live yet are labelled "coming soon".
- Rules and regulations must come from an official or named source, with a "Last checked" date. Regulatory pages are general information, not legal advice.
- Numbers in examples are labelled "illustrative" and use round, hypothetical figures.
- Supplier names are not published unless the supplier has agreed.
- Prices: we do not publish prices for paid products. We say what is free, and offer a quote for the rest.
How we keep pages up to date
Travel rules and fees change. We review regulatory and market pages regularly and when we learn of a change, and we update the "Last updated" or "Last checked" date when we do. If a proposed change has not taken effect yet, we say so.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us at [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. We check every report. If we got something wrong, we correct the page and update its date.
Our commercial interest
QuickOTA sells products to travel agencies, and our guides mention them where they are relevant. We keep the guidance useful whether or not you use QuickOTA, and we say clearly what our products do and do not do.
