Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2027

Coachella 2027 takes place over two weekends, from 9 to 11 April and from 16 to 18 April 2027, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the world's best-known music festivals. This guide is for festival-goers and for agencies planning a trip to the Coachella Valley.

About Coachella

Coachella combines performances by international artists across several stages with large art installations in the desert landscape of Southern California. Both weekends usually feature a similar line-up. Passes, camping options and announcements are on the official Coachella website.

The festival is popular with young travellers and is often combined with time in Los Angeles, Palm Springs or nearby national parks such as Joshua Tree.

Many travellers choose one weekend and spend the rest of their trip in Southern California, visiting Los Angeles, Palm Springs or desert landscapes. Agencies can offer packages for either weekend, depending on flight availability and room prices in the valley. The line-up is announced by the organiser, usually months before the festival. Because both weekends sell out quickly, agencies should confirm passes for each traveller before booking flights and rooms, and keep a list of names and pass types for the whole group.
