QuickOTA

B2B Travel Portal for Travel Agencies in Thailand

Short answer: QuickOTA works with Thai travel agencies that do not have IATA accreditation. You search, hold and book flights in the free B2B Panel, and QuickOTA issues the ticket. To open an account you need a company registered in Thailand or a valid travel agency (tourism) licence. There is no setup fee and no minimum wallet deposit. You quote your customers in baht at your own price.

This page is for agencies in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and the rest of Thailand that sell outbound flights and want a partner to issue their tickets. It covers what you need to start, how licensing works at a high level, and how QuickOTA fits a new or small agency.

Key takeaways

  • QuickOTA does not require IATA accreditation. QuickOTA issues the ticket.
  • To open a QuickOTA account, a registered Thai company or a tourism licence is enough.
  • Travel agency licences in Thailand come from the Department of Tourism, not TAT. Licence deposits may rise; check before you apply.
  • B2B Panel access is free, with no setup fee and no minimum deposit.
  • Flights are live today; hotels, tours, visas and group requests are coming soon.

Can Thai agencies without IATA accreditation work with QuickOTA?

Yes. IATA accreditation lets an agency issue tickets in its own name and settle with airlines through BSP. QuickOTA works with agencies that do not have it. On QuickOTA you book in the B2B Panel, pay from your wallet, and QuickOTA issues the e-ticket.

Accreditation brings fixed costs and obligations, such as financial checks, a financial guarantee and regular BSP settlement. For a new agency, booking through a ticketing partner keeps those costs away while the business grows. You are responsible for meeting Thailand's rules for selling travel. How are travel agencies licensed in Thailand?

Travel businesses in Thailand are licensed under the Tourism Business and Guide Act B.E. 2551 (2008). The licensing body is the Department of Tourism at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. Agents often call it a "TAT licence", but the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) does not issue it.

  • Law: Tourism Business and Guide Act B.E. 2551 (2008).
  • Regulator: Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
  • Licence categories: Specific-area, Domestic, Inbound, and General (Outbound). Agencies selling trips abroad need the General licence.
  • Deposits: each licence needs a security deposit. Current (reduced) levels are THB 3,000 (specific-area), THB 15,000 (domestic), THB 30,000 (inbound) and THB 60,000 (general). A return to THB 10,000 / 50,000 / 100,000 / 200,000 was approved in principle in August 2026 and went to public consultation until 30 September 2026. Existing licensees would get a one-year grace period after it takes effect (Nation Thailand, Bangkok Post).

Last checked: 3 November 2026. Many websites still show old deposit figures. This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm current requirements, including shareholding rules, with the Department of Tourism before you apply.

To open a QuickOTA agency account you need either your Thai company registration or your tourism licence. QuickOTA does not require IATA accreditation.

What do Thai agencies need from a B2B flight platform?

Thai outbound agencies usually need four things: ticketing without IATA, a full cost they can turn into a baht quote quickly, a way to pay without tying up cash, and a clear process for changes and refunds. With licence deposits possibly rising, keeping other fixed costs low matters more.

Need in Thailand Why it matters How QuickOTA handles it
Ticketing without IATA Accreditation has ongoing costs and obligations QuickOTA issues the ticket
Quote quickly in THB Customers compare prices on their phones Full cost, including the itemised service fee, shown before you book; you set your markup
Low cash commitment Licence deposits already tie up working capital Prepaid wallet, no minimum deposit
Changes and refunds Plans change Request changes, cancellations and refunds from the panel and see the quote first; approved refunds go back to your wallet
Group tours abroad Group outbound trips are a common product Group requests are coming soon

How does QuickOTA work for a Thai agency?

A Thai agency searches flights in the QuickOTA B2B Panel, checks the fare rules and service fee, holds the booking, pays from its prepaid wallet and gets the e-ticket in its booking details. QuickOTA issues the ticket. The agency then charges its customer in baht at its own price.

  1. Request agency access with your company registration or tourism licence number.
  2. We review your request and ask for anything else we need, then open your panel.
  3. Search and compare fares. Approved agencies can search before their first top-up.
  4. Top up your wallet with the amount you need, online or by bank deposit. There is no minimum deposit.
  5. Book and ticket. QuickOTA issues the e-ticket. Sell at your price and handle after-sale requests from the panel.

Illustrative example (hypothetical numbers): an agency in Chiang Mai books a return flight for a customer.

Line Amount
Cost in the panel (fare + itemised service fee) USD 400
Agency price to customer THB 15,000
Agency margin Depends on your exchange rate and markup

You see your full cost before you book, so you can set a baht price that protects your margin.

Payments in Thailand: what to know

Thai customers commonly pay by PromptPay and Thai QR Payment. PromptPay has been linked with Singapore's PayNow since April 2021 (MAS). How your customers pay you is between you and your bank or payment provider.

Paying QuickOTA is separate: you top up your prepaid wallet online or by bank deposit, with no minimum amount. QuickOTA does not offer credit lines.

Associations and trade fairs in Thailand

Two associations matter for most agencies. TTAA (Thai Travel Agents Association) mainly represents outbound agencies and runs the Thai International Travel Fair (TITF) at QSNCC in Bangkok. ATTA (Association of Thai Travel Agents, founded 1968) represents inbound agencies and runs ATTA Travel Mart.
